Product Introduction


YX-T503 is a high-temperature, anti-corrosion thermosetting coating formulated with pigments such as titanium dioxide, boron nitride, and reinforcing silica powder. The coating can withstand temperatures up to 600℃, is dense, waterproof, and resistant to aging. It is suitable for reflective heat-insulating anti-corrosion topcoats, new energy vehicle insulation coatings, battery case high-temperature voltage-resistant anti-corrosion coatings, etc.

Special Note: YX-T503 is a thermosetting product. Products exposed to air should be used up within 12 hours. During longer construction periods, the construction tools should be cleaned to prevent them from solidifying. It is recommended to complete the coating in one spray or brush coat, and the dry film thickness should not exceed 100 μm, otherwise the coating is prone to sagging. High temperature can increase the coating hardness with the same film thickness and reduce color difference.

Remarks

Surface Roughening

Before coating, grind or sandblast the substrate surface to remove rust, dust, dirt, etc. adhering to the substrate surface. The optimal level is Sa2.5, and the minimum is St3 grade without scale (GB/T 30790.4-2014).

This operation may not be necessary for clean substrates.

Surface Cleaning

Remove oil stains, dust, etc. remaining on the roughened surface with a special cleaning agent or degreaser.

This affects adhesion.

Substrate Drying

Before coating, ensure that the substrate surface is dry and clean.

This affects adhesion.

Coating Preparation

Stir the product for 3-5 minutes, weigh it according to the construction needs, filter it with 120 to 300 mesh and keep it for later use.

 

Coating Application

Laboratory spray coating method: 1.0 caliber spray gun, better appearance and uniformity. After curing, the coating has a certain hydrophobic and oleophobic property, but it does not affect repeated coating.

Clean the gun with alkanes, lipids, ethers, etc.

Curing

Refer to the air spray coating data. During the curing process, the solvent will volatilize and produce a small amount of ammonia gas. Testing shows that Q235B plate material can be cured at 230℃ for 1 hour. For complex substrates, the temperature can be increased or the time extended.

High-temperature testing should use temperature-resistant substrates.

 

Product Storage


1. Must be stored in accordance with national regulations. The storage environment should be dry, cool, and well-ventilated, away from heat sources and fire sources. The packaging container must remain sealed and carefully placed.

2. This product contains physically adsorbed or chemically bonded ammonia, so sufficient precautions should be taken when using it and handling related materials. This product is sensitive to water and can react with oxidants, alcohols, acids, and alkalis. Maintain an appropriate distance during storage.

3. The storage temperature should be between 5℃ and 30℃, and the shelf life is 12 months.

4. Unopened and unused paint must be sealed with the lid. If necessary, purge with nitrogen before sealing.

5. Unused paint should not be recycled and should be discarded according to local regulations.

6. Products that have exceeded the shelf life can only be used after passing the inspection.
