Product Introduction


YX-T703 is a room-temperature curing flexible anticorrosion silicone-based coating, compounded with titanium dioxide, boron nitride, reinforcing silica powder, etc. The coating is touch dry in 4 hours at room temperature, can withstand temperatures above 400℃, does not change color at high temperatures, is flame-resistant, dense, waterproof, and aging-resistant. It is suitable for the anticorrosion and repair of pipeline outer walls, chemical facilities, and coastal facilities.

YX-T703 is a single-component room-temperature curing product. Products exposed to air should be used up within 12 hours. During prolonged construction, the construction tools should be cleaned to prevent solidification. It is recommended to complete the spraying or brushing in one coat, and the dry film thickness should not exceed 120 microns, otherwise the coating is prone to sagging. High temperature can improve the hardness of the coating under the same film thickness and reduce color difference.

Remarks

Surface roughening

Before coating, sandblast or grind the substrate surface to remove rust, dust, dirt, etc. adhering to the substrate surface. The best is Sa2.5, and the minimum is St3 grade without scale (GB/T 30790.4-2014).

Clean substrates may not require this step.

Surface Cleaning

Remove residual oil, dust, etc. on the surface with a special cleaning agent or degreaser.

Before coating, ensure the substrate surface is dry and clean.

Coating Preparation

Stir the product for 3-5 minutes, weigh according to construction needs, filter to 120-300 mesh for later use.

 

Coating Application

Laboratory spray coating method: 1.0 caliber spray gun, better appearance and uniformity. After curing, the coating has certain hydrophobicity and oil repellency, but it does not affect repeated coating.

Clean the gun with alkanes, lipids, ethers, etc.

Curing

Refer to the air spray data. During the curing process, the solvent volatilizes and produces a small amount of ammonia gas. Testing on Q235B plate material shows that curing can be achieved by heat preservation at 230℃ for 1h. For complex substrates, the temperature can be increased or the time can be extended.

High-temperature testing should use temperature-resistant substrates.

 

Product Storage


1. Must be stored in accordance with national regulations. The storage environment should be dry, cool, and well-ventilated, away from heat sources and fire sources. The packaging container must be kept sealed and placed carefully.

2. This product contains ammonia that is physically adsorbed or chemically bonded. Therefore, sufficient preventive measures should be taken when using and handling materials. This product is water-sensitive and may react with oxidants, alcohols, acids, and alkalis. Maintain appropriate spacing during storage.

3. The storage temperature should be maintained between 5℃ and 30℃, and the shelf life is 12 months.

4. Unopened and unused coatings must be sealed with the lid closed, and purged with nitrogen if necessary, before sealing.

5. Unused mixed coatings cannot be recycled and should be disposed of according to local regulations.

6. Products that have exceeded the shelf life can only be used after passing the inspection.
